Australian Business and Investor Visa

Designed for successful overseas business owners or investors, this visa requires an investment in a new or existing business in Australia or a designated investment in state or territory government bonds.

This visa is available to applicants who invest a minimum of AUD 5 million in eligible investments in Australia over four years. It has no age or English language requirements.

Targeted at individuals willing to commit at least AUD 5 million to qualifying significant investments in Australia, this visa supports continued business and investment activities. Applicants must be nominated by a state/territory government or Austrade on behalf of the Australian government.

This stream is for individuals prepared to invest AUD 15 million or more in qualifying premium investments in Australia. Nominations must be made by Austrade on behalf of the Australian government.

This visa is for individuals with a third-party funding agreement of at least AUD 200,000 to develop an innovative product, service, or business in Australia. Applicants must be nominated by a state or territory government.

This permanent visa is the second stage of the Business Innovation and Investment pathway. Holders of the 188 provisional visa can apply for permanent residency after fulfilling the relevant criteria, which includes holding the Business Innovation Stream for two years or the Investor Stream for four years.
