The Accounting Professional Year Program (Accounting PYP) is a work readiness program approved by the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) for international students with at least two years of accounting studies at an Australian university. The program includes 32 weeks of classroom training and a 12-week internship with an approved employer, offering students valuable practical experience and professional development. It also provides a pathway to permanent residency for 485 visa holders under the General Skilled Migration (GSM) program.
Eligibility: Graduates must hold or apply for a Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) and meet English proficiency requirements (e.g., IELTS 6.0).
Costs: AUD 6,000 – AUD 13,000, depending on the provider.
